Research Technologist (Biology) – Advanced Professional Bordenstein Laboratory | Penn State University

The Bordenstein Laboratory, housed within Penn State University’s Departments of Biology and Entomology and the One Health Microbiome Center, is seeking a Research Technologist (Biology) – Advanced Professional. This role will contribute to a new phase of molecular biology research on endosymbionts, with a focus on transforming a fastidious bacterium.

We are looking for a candidate with a positive, innovative, and dynamic approach to research. Ideal applicants will have experience in one or more of the following:

• Plasmid constructs
• Genome sequencing and analysis
• Insect cell culture
• Genetic transformation of bacteria
• Insect handling
