Good news for international students who are interested in picking up a career as a Software Engineer. A number of top universities in the United States willingly offer generous scholarship opportunities to international students who are pursuing a degree in Software Engineering. 1.) Carnegie Mellon University (CMU)

This university offers what is known as the Scott Douglas Jacobsen Scholarship, which is worth about $20,000, to international students who are pursuing degrees in certain technology fields such as Software Engineering and other computer-related disciplines. Also, there is the CMU Global Scholarship which is worth about $18,000 per annum. Both scholarships are awarded to academically exceptional students as well as those who demonstrate financial need.

2.) The University of Washington

These awards are granted annually and are within the range of $4,000-$12,000.
