Position Overview: Research Associate
As a Research Associate, you’ll join a high-impact research team focused on IWPR’s core areas, including:

You will play a vital role in conducting quantitative and qualitative research, managing data, writing policy briefs, and collaborating with policymakers, advocates, and academic partners to promote evidence-based solutions for gender equity.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and publish data-driven research and literature reviews on women’s economic empowerment and gender equality.
- Perform advanced data analysis using STATA, SPSS, or R to interpret public health and economic datasets.
- Draft reports, briefs, fact sheets, and presentations for policymakers and public audiences.
- Integrate intersectional and racial equity frameworks into all research designs.
- Support grant writing, proposal development, and research dissemination activities.
- Collaborate with IWPR’s communications and policy teams to translate research findings into actionable public insights.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree preferred in Economics, Sociology, Public Policy, Women’s Studies, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience conducting empirical or policy-based research.
- Proven expertise in statistical programs such as STATA, SPSS, or R.
- Excellent writing, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple research projects with tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual Salary: $71,820 – $89,262 (commensurate with experience)
- Work Schedule: Hybrid – minimum two days in-office weekly
