These opportunities are open to both undergraduate and masterโs students at Georgetown who are passionate about data analysis, global development, and evidence-based policy research.

๐ Project 1: Kenya Healthcare Financial Diaries
Hiring Organization: gui2de (Georgetown University Initiative on Innovation, Development and Evaluation)
The Healthcare Financial Diaries project is a collaborative effort between FSD Kenya, Ekko Insights, and gui2de. This longitudinal study tracks health-related behaviors, expenditures, and outcomes among households across Kenya for two years.
The goal is to understand how families navigate healthcare expenses and access, providing vital insights for health financing and policy design in developing countries.
๐ง Responsibilities
As a Research Assistant, you will:
- Conduct high-frequency data checks and cleaning in Stata
- Perform data analysis and visualization
- Generate insightful reports for dissemination
๐ Project 2: What Works Hub Tanzania (Education)

Funding Partners: UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and others
The What Works Hub for Global Education (WWHGE) in Tanzania is a multi-country initiative aimed at improving education outcomes and reform. The project is led by Professors James Habyarimana and Jacobus Cilliers and works in partnership with the Tanzanian government to strengthen the national Teacher Continuous Professional Development (TCPD) policy.

The Research Assistant will:
- Support survey design and programming
- Conduct data analysis and visualization
- Contribute to adaptive experimentation in education research
- Prepare progress reports and collaborate with policy partners
