πΌ Job Opportunity: Grassland Conservation Marketing Manager
PLJV is currently hiring a Grassland Conservation Marketing Manager β a creative, strategic, and passionate communicator who can inspire action across rural communities and agricultural landscapes.
In this exciting remote position, you will help shape the voice of grassland conservation by developing marketing communications, digital content, and outreach tools that drive sustainable practices like prescribed fire, brush removal, and native habitat restoration.
π Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with social scientists, conservation experts, and communication teams to create and test engaging messages that increase landowner participation in conservation efforts.
- Develop and maintain training materials and e-learning platforms for partner organizations.
- Manage and expand the TomorrowsGrassland.com website, including updates and SEO-optimized content.
- Design and produce marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, infographics, and social media posts to promote conservation programs in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico.
- Write feature stories and outreach content that highlight successful conservation efforts.
- Partner with local organizations and media outlets to distribute impactful content and boost program visibility.
π Required Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, or public relations.
- Proven ability to create compelling narratives and visually appealing content.
- Expertise in tools such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, and WordPress CMS.
- Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent writing and verbal communication abilities.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a virtual team.
π Preferred Skills & Experience
- Background in agriculture, wildlife conservation, or environmental communications.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) communication skills.
- Experience in media relations, podcast production, or video storytelling.
- Familiarity with Mailchimp, Basecamp, and digital marketing platforms.
π Travel & Work Environment
This is a remote position, but applicants should reside within the PLJV region for easy travel access β ideally in western Kansas or western Oklahoma.
Travel may account for 30β40% of the role, primarily across Kansas and Oklahoma, to attend meetings, outreach events, and conservation initiatives.

- Annual Salary: $67,000 β $72,000 (commensurate with experience)
