Five (5) institutions that provide scholarship opportunities for the spouses of the U.S. Army service members.
Here are some universities in the United States that grant scholarships to U.S. Army spouses.
1.) University of Maryland University College (UMUC)
The University of Maryland University College (UMUC) provides several scholarship programs for Army spouses that cover tuition, books, or some other fees. This scholarship is available for both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at UMUC. The funding ranges from $500 to $3,000 per annum.
2.) Purdue University Global
Purdue University Global, formerly referred to as Kaplan University awards up to $6,000 annually to Army spouses for online undergraduate and graduate programs.
3.) Western Governors University (WGU)
Western Governors University provides about $2,000 worth of scholarships to undergraduate students who are army spouses. This scholarship covers around half the cost of undergraduate tuition.
4.) Gateway Community College
This local community college offers, quite frequently, funding of about $1,000 to Army spouses.
5.) San Diego City College
San Diego City College awards the Don and Libby Jacoby Endowed Scholarship for Military Families. This scholarship supports Army spouses who seek to complete their bachelor’s degrees.
