🔐 About the Role
As Associate Director, Cyber Security Awareness & Enablement, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening Deakin’s cyber resilience through education, engagement, and empowerment.
Your mission: to build a university-wide culture of cyber awareness that protects digital infrastructure, research assets, and the entire university community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a high-performing team of cyber awareness professionals.
- Design and deliver strategic awareness programs that align with university objectives.
- Run phishing simulations, behavioral tests, and engagement campaigns to measure impact.
- Develop and implement metrics and KPIs to track performance and cultural adoption.
- Partner with executive leadership to drive behavioral change and enhance cyber readiness.
👩💻 About You
You’re a cybersecurity strategist with the ability to translate technical challenges into human-centric solutions. You have a proven record of inspiring awareness, enabling resilience, and managing transformation at scale.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven expertise in cyber security awareness and education.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience in higher education, government, or large-scale organizations preferred.
- Strategic thinker with a passion for driving long-term behavioral change.
