💡 Role Overview
The Research Assistant for Impact will coordinate strategies that translate groundbreaking autism research into policy and real-world applications.
You’ll take the lead in implementing the consortium’s Impact Strategy, which includes:
- Liaising with high-level European stakeholders (EU Parliament, European Commission, EFPIA, EMA, and others).
- Disseminating policy insights that guide the future of autism and rare genetic condition research.
- Ensuring maximum impact and visibility of consortium outputs through publications, conferences, and media engagement.
- Supporting sustainability efforts, expanding research networks, and translating findings into clinical and policy improvements across Europe.
This is a high-visibility, international-facing role—ideal for someone passionate about research translation, science communication, and policy impact.

🎓 Candidate Profile — What We’re Looking For
Essential Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Biology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in policy work or a policy-related context.
- Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders — including industry partners, charities, and government officials.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly.
- Broad understanding of autism research and rare genetic neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Awareness of European research, policy, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to travel across Europe for stakeholder engagement.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in media, communications, or advocacy.
- Familiarity with European policymaking or public affairs.
- Sensitivity to the diverse perspectives within the autism and rare disease communities.
