π§ Position Overview: Research Assistant
The Research Assistant will collaborate with Professors Kimalee Dickerson and Carl Stenberg on a qualitative research project exploring the experiences of local government employees in North Carolina.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive literature reviews
- Analyzing previously collected interview data
- Assisting in drafting research reports and scholarly articles
This is a temporary, part-time role (approximately 10 hours per week) with an estimated duration of three months or less.
π Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree, or equivalent training and experience
- Strong ability to collect, analyze, and document data
- Basic knowledge of research principles, data analysis, and information systems
- Familiarity with statistics and information technology tools
- Strong communication skills for presenting and explaining research findings
π Preferred Qualifications
- Coursework or background in Public Administration
- Experience working in academic or government research environments
