đź’Ľ Position Overview: Research Assistant

The Research Assistant will support qualitative and quantitative projects within the School of Physical Therapy. This role involves assisting faculty researchers with project execution, data management, and knowledge dissemination while ensuring compliance with research ethics and institutional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and manage qualitative and quantitative data collection
  • Process, enter, and analyze research data
  • Prepare research documents and reports
  • Organize meetings, coordinate travel, and liaise between research teams and participants
  • Support publication and dissemination of study findings
  • Ensure adherence to research ethics protocols and confidentiality guidelines

🎓 Qualifications and Skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Health Sciences, Kinesiology, Physical Therapy, Psychology, or related field)

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience supporting research in a technical or academic setting

Skills & Expertise:

  • Strong data collection and analysis skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and research software
  • Familiarity with research design, ethics, and experimental analysis
  • Detail-oriented and capable of working independently or collaboratively
  • Courteous, professional, and adaptable to a fast-paced research environment
