About the Project

The successful applicant will join the PASSAGE Project (“Strengthening Pastoral Livelihoods in the African Greater Horn through Effective Anticipatory Action”). This initiative is funded through the Climate Adaptation and Resilience (CLARE) Programme, and focuses on improving drought early warning systems, humanitarian readiness, and climate-resilient livelihoods for pastoral communities in the Greater Horn of Africa.

You will play a central leadership role in coordinating and delivering research activities during the final year of this large-scale project. This includes supporting interdisciplinary teams, managing timelines, and ensuring research outcomes translate into real-world impact.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Strong project coordination or project management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate within diverse teams.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in international research project management.
  • Understanding of drought early warning systems and disaster risk management.
  • Prior involvement in humanitarian or development-focused research.
