💼 Position Summary: Teaching Assistant (Human Nutrition)

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work under the guidance and supervision of a Course Supervisor who determines the course objectives, content, and grading criteria. Responsibilities will vary depending on the course but may include:

  • Leading tutorials or laboratory sessions
  • Grading assignments and exams
  • Providing academic support to students
  • Assisting with the preparation of teaching materials
  • Supporting online and in-person learning platforms

📚 Courses and Workload

Each position involves 45 to 90 hours of work per term, depending on the assigned course. Duties and workload will be detailed in the Workload Form, to be completed and signed by both the instructor and the successful candidate.


✅ Required Qualifications

  • Must hold an undergraduate degree.
  • Must be enrolled in a graduate program at McGill University during the Winter 2026 term.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada and willing to work in Quebec.
  • Must have strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Candidates should be available for the entire contract period.

Note: TAs will perform their duties in person on the Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue campus. Should circumstances require remote learning, duties will transition online via McGill’s learning management systems such as Zoom, WebEx, and myCourses.
