About the Role: Web Content Writer

As a Web Content Writer, you’ll play a crucial role in crafting compelling digital content that showcases Deakin’s research excellence and enhances its online presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and write engaging, SEO-optimized content for Deakin’s research website, content hub, and digital platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to generate story ideas, plan content calendars, and ensure brand alignment.
• Use data-driven insights from Adobe Analytics and SEO tools to optimize content visibility and performance.
• Edit and proofread articles, landing pages, campaign materials, and multimedia scripts.
• Support editorial needs for digital campaigns, podcasts, and social media storytelling.
• Contribute to Deakin’s content strategy and digital innovation initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

• A relevant degree or equivalent experience in communications, marketing, journalism, or related fields.
• Proven expertise in digital writing and SEO content creation.
• Strong editorial and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience using content management systems (preferably Squiz Matrix).
• Familiarity with UX writing, responsive design principles, and analytics tools.
• Scriptwriting or content creation experience for video, audio, or podcast formats.
